ACADEMIC ADVISING APPOINTMENTS FOR DR. DAVID WYLD: SPRING 2017

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

• Please select your advising slot (there are 69 slots available over the next two weeks for 45 students) from the chart showing available appointment times over the next two weeks. Then, enter a comment BELOW this post. Include in that comment your name and your selected advising slot (both number and time), along with an alternate slot. I will be updating the table, showing times that have been selected by fellow students, as comments come in (I will update at least once a day). Please note that  appointment times are on a first come, first served basis. 
  • "Walk-ins" are discouraged, but if you do try to do so, please arrive within the first five minutes of that advising slot widow (i.e., between 3:30-3:35 - or before - for a 3:30 Advising Session). This is necessary to properly be able to conduct an advising session with you to meet the College of Business' advising program goals.
• In-person advising sessions are mandatory (per College of Business policy) for all students, unless you are a freshman still being advised by the Center for Student Excellence.
• Please do note that all advising sessions require a full 30 minutes, so do plan accordingly when selecting a date/time for our College of Business-mandated meeting. Please do not try and simply “squeeze in” your advising session in the 15 minute break between classes, as this will not be enough time to accomplish what needs to be done during an advising session. If you miss your scheduled advising appointment (or are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment time), you will need to pick a slot from those remaining after your missed appointment date/time.
• Please follow the instructions in the advising announcement posted in Moodle and emailed to you on October 26th on preparing for your mandatory advising session, including:

1. printing an unofficial copy of your transcript off Leonet;
2. obtaining a copy of and reviewing your curriculum sheet prior to my advising appointment;
3. preparing a proposed schedule on the official Student Advising Form (available at Management Department Office, Garrett Hall, Room 56); and
4. bringing the unofficial copy of my transcript, my curriculum sheet, and Student Advising Form to the advising session.

All four tasks must be done prior to your selected advising time to ensure a productive and successful advising session. If not, then you will have to reschedule for a time slot later in the two-week mandatory advising window for the Spring 2017 Semester.
