Link of the Day #1

Students,

Here's the first link of the day to view and comment upon for your participation grade. Most links of the day will be articles to read from the series, the "Instant MBA" (were that it were that easy to get the real degree!). Some will be completely serious, some will be for learning about companies and management, and some, well, they may just be for fun. So, to begin, follow the link below (they won't all be funny, but why not start with a fun one!):

Remember to post your comments on the blog site at the above link (commenting in reply to that particular article/video). In this case, it is the original link (http://wyldfinancialnews.blogspot.com/2012/05/instant-alert-warren-buffett-to-kids.html). You will need to login with your Google account to post your comment. What to comment on - well, for any of these links of the day, you can respond with what you though of the ideas in the article/video, what it means for your job/career, have you seen this happen personally, etc.  Just do make your comment approximately a paragraph in length (a couple of brief sentences at least). And remember, grammar and punctuation will count as you make these posts.

One more thing, if you happen to have me for both Management 425 and 464 (either at the same time or in a prior semester), I will provide you with an alternate link to comment on from the "Instant MBA" series. For this Link of the Day #1, the alternate link of the day is:

Interested to see your thoughts and the discussion online with these links of the day - and hope they will be of value to you for learning - beyond simply the need to do so for the grade. Remember though, you must post your comments on this article within seven days of its posting for the comment to count. And also, you need to track your comments (by cutting and pasting them into the comment form provided for you on Blackboard) and then turn them in on the day of the test (in hard copy form).

Good luck!
