  1. U.S.A. vs. MEXICO !!!

This is a world cup qualifying match between Mexico who is first in the table with 13 points from five matches, and the United States who have seven points in the same span.

The match ups between U.S.A. and Mexico and are always a thrilling experience so I would highly recommend tuning in tonight.

Coverage of the match begins Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1. El Tri will host the U.S.A. at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

  2. Hey, everyone,

I've tried many domestic wines with various flavors to it from berries to grapes, charcoal and chocolate, but there are many different variations and methods used to produce wine around the world. This Thursday, June 15th, at 6:00 PM, a friend of mine and I will be at the Tasting Room on Magazine St. in New Orleans to try their wine sampling with international selections. You get 5 different wines for $20, which is relatively cheap for wine tastings.

If you would like to join, just let me know! You can shoot me an email if you'd like - robert.maddox@selu.edu. And yes, I have asked Mr. Wyld for permission, while not encouraging drinking in any way, he has agreed that it will suffice to the project requirements.

  3. Hi Everyone,
Last week, I went to the English Tea Room in Downtown Covington. The owners strive to make it as authentic as possible. (You can even take a pic with a cutout of the Queen!) They have delicious food and a HUGE selection of teas. It's a neat place to go in the historic part of Covington.

  5. If anyone is in Baton Rouge and Want to try Authentic Mexican Food, there is a place called Mr. Taco on Airline Hwy across the street from the kleinpeter dairy. I grew up with the previous owner kids and the entire menu is from his mothers parents who immigrated from Mexico. I grew up eating this food and loved it and I feel it's the best around.

  6. I recently ate at Albasha in Covington. For those of you who have not tried it, it is Greek food that is honestly the best. Get the chicken Sharma if you think you can handle the deliciousness.

  8. I used the below recipe to cook teriyaki shrimp stir fry with my girlfriend and her mom this past Thursday night (6/15) for dinner. I cut out the brown sugar and used ultra low sodium soy sauce to make it even more healthy. It was delicious!! I'd highly recommend.

  9. I just watched Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. It was episode one of season one. I think everyone will like and learn from this episode about Asia. I really enjoyed it. There is a lot of great information and stories to be heard on this show.
