Went to this Thai restaurant called sticky rice. It was pretty good but I didn't like the red curry. Maybe I am just not a fan of the dish.
ReplyDeleteWhere was this, i might try it out?
DeleteMy boss at work treated us all to "Viet Kitchen". I was very skeptical of the food at first glance (picky eater), however, I ended up really enjoying it! Even took a bite of my boss's dish. :) **Dont get the chicken wings**
ReplyDeleteDont know why my name isnt appearing... Justin Sims
DeleteI am looking forward to the semi-final round of the FIFA Confederations Cup this week! Portugal vs. Chile on Wednesday and Mexico vs. Germany on Thursday. I really enjoy watching the soccer matches. They usually take right about two hours and the time just flies by. The games this week will be at noon, I think, so I'll have to DVR it. No spoilers, please! LOL
ReplyDeleteI went to Pho King and had some traditional Vietnamese Pho and it was incredible. The only downside was the place had no A/C so it had warmed up a decent amount in the building but the food was delicious!
ReplyDeleteI meant to post this for last week, but I watched Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown Season 2: EP 4 "Copenhagen" and EP 5 "Sicily". They were two great episodes. The first showed Anthony eating at what is regarded as the best restaurant in the world, NOMA. The head chef, Rene Redzepi uses hyper local ingredients to make dishes that are unlike anything you have ever seen before. In the second episode, "Sicily", Anthony seeks to answer the question, "What is the most authentic Sicilian meal?" Both are two very informative Parts Unknown episodes that I would highly recommend. I will definitely be watching more episodes in this series in the future.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is interested in watching and international sport, there is a women's cricket match against New Zealand and South Africa on now on one of the ESPN channels.
ReplyDeleteI happened to catch Rick Steves' Guide to Cuba on WLAE where he discusses his visit to Cuba. It was very informative and gave all the ins and outs of how to manage a trip to Cuba, from currency exchange, lodging, transportation, entertainment, and just about anything else you would need to know. I saw it was on again today, so just check the listings if you are interested in seeing it, it will probably repeat again.
