Students,
Please use this as your discussion forum for your activities for Week 7 of the the My Big Summer Adventure Abroad (At Home) Project. Seen a great international TV show or movie? Tried a recipe from abroad that was actually good? Found a local international cuisine restaurant that you would give 5 stars to on Yelp or TripAdvisor? Use this forum to tell your classmates what you're doing - what you liked (and even what you didn't!).
Have Fun and Do Get Involved!

I watched idiot abroad the other day on netflix. It is pretty good and funny. Some may not like how negative the "Idiot" is about places he travels but I am pretty sure that is his character. Anyways give it a watch if you need a show for your project.
ReplyDeleteI watched "300" for my foreign movie and watched an episode of dragon ball z as a foreign television show. Both are really great ideas if you need extra activities in this final stretch! GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't seen either and I have two slots to fill so I guess I will check them out.
ReplyDeleteThai Green Leaf in Hammond has pretty good food if anyone is still needing some more activities to get in this week. I just had lunch there and it was really good, HUGE portions...easily two meals, for me anyway.
ReplyDeleteManchester United are about to play Manchester City in the International Champions Cup at 9:00pm central on ESPN. Should be a thrilling match-up between two premier league sides.
ReplyDeleteI watched a foreign movie called The Journey about Middle Eastern immigrants trying to get to Australia. It was really very interesting and I would suggest it for anyone still looking for some activities.
ReplyDeleteby the way, I found it on YouTube.
DeleteI wound up going to another Thai restaurant in Covington today called Baan Thai-Sala Thai. They have a lunch buffet which was really great because you could try different foods to find out what you like. Everything I had was excellent.
