Link of the Day #92

Well, here’s some interesting research findings from Germany, where investigators found women talk longer on the phone than their male counterparts. Before you say, “How many Ph.D.’s did that take?,” read the brief article on their investigation at the link below:

So, what do you think of this research finding? Agree/disagree - and any examples from your own work experience? From your personal life (and please, don’t name names!)? How might this help/hinder job performance for women? Enjoy - and feel free to forward to your friends and colleagues! And remember, post your comments in response to the article at that link
(http://managementinaminute.blogspot.com/2011/06/daily-stat-women-make-longer-phone.html).

And for those of you who happen to have me for both Management 425 and 464 (either at the same time or in a prior semester), the alternate link of the day is:

Good luck - and take advantage of this extra learning (and extra credit!)...

  1. I could so agree, women do call more. When men make calls they want to get all the info even if it takes all day rather than call back 5 times like women.

  2. This shows how women and men like to handle things differently. Men like to get things done the first time and just make one call. Where women like to make calls all day.
